Voting

• For positions that need to be elected, citizens will give a score between 0-10 to each candidate (with a default of 0 for new candidates)
• The candidate with the highest average score multiplied by the percentage of the population that voted for them wins the election
  • Formula: avg_candidate_score * percent_of_population_who_voted

This system incentivises the election of un-divisive and more centrist candidates who represent the largest percentage of the population rather than extremists

Benefits

Using this system, we can sort candidates by:

• newest / oldest
• most representative / least representative (the formula above)
• most controversial / least controversial
• most trending / least trending
